Welcome to Village Perks, the official rewards program for Village Seekers on the Our Village app. This program was designed to thank you for being an engaged part of our community by rewarding you for completing meaningful actions within the app.
By participating in Village Perks, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Program Overview
Village Perks allows Village Seekers to earn points by taking certain actions within the Our Village app—such as completing your profile, hiring a provider, using in-app payments, and referring others. Points can then be redeemed for in-app discounts, job posts, raffle entries, or gift cards.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the Village Perks program, you must:
- Be a registered Village Seeker on the Our Village app
- Have a completed profile
- Use the Our Village platform for job posting, hiring, and in-app transactions
Point Value
- 1 Point = $0.10 USD (face value)
- Points redeemed for gift cards are valued at $0.05 per point
- Points have no cash value outside of the Our Village app
- Points cannot be redeemed for cash.

Important:
- Points redeemed for job posts and in-app discounts are honored at full face value ($0.10 per point).
Points redeemed for gift cards are valued at half face value ($0.05 per point).
This allows us to offer generous digital rewards while maintaining the sustainability of the program.
Terms and Restrictions
- Points Expiration
Points expire 12 months from the date they are earned if not redeemed. - Non-Transferable
Points are tied to the user’s account and cannot be transferred, shared, or pooled with others. - Fraudulent Activity
Our Village reserves the right to withhold or revoke points in cases of suspected abuse or fraud, including but not limited to: creating fake referrals, submitting unapproved or misleading video testimonials, or circumventing in-app processes. - Referral Validation
Referral points will only be awarded when the referred user completes their registration and profile setup. - Gift Card Availability
Gift card redemptions may be limited by stock or merchant availability and are not guaranteed at all times. - Redemption Rates
Redemption rates are fixed:- $0.10 per point for in-app uses (discounts, job posts)
- $0.05 per point for gift card redemptions
- $0.10 per point for in-app uses (discounts, job posts)
- Program Changes
Our Village reserves the right to modify, pause, or cancel the Village Perks program at any time. Any changes will be communicated in-app or through official announcements.

1. What is Village Perks?

2. How much is one point worth?
- In-app redemptions (job posts, discounts): 1 point = $0.10
- Gift card redemptions: 1 point = $0.05
So, 10 points = $1.00 for in-app use, but only $0.50 if redeemed as a gift card.

4. What can I redeem my points for?
You can use points to:
- Post a job in the app (10 points per post)

5. Why are gift cards worth less than other redemptions?
In order to keep the Village Perks system financially sustainable, we offer gift cards at half the points value. This allows us to continue offering generous in-app rewards while maintaining platform quality and affordability.
6. Do my points expire?
Yes. Points expire 12 months after the date they are earned if they are not used.
7. How do I track my points?
You can view your current point balance in your app profile under “Village Perks.” Your balance is updated in real time based on your activity.
8. Do I get points for every hire or job post?
You earn points for:
- Hiring a provider (5 pts)
- Using the in-app payment system (3 pts)
- Leaving a review (2 pts)
These actions must be completed through the Our Village app to be eligible for rewards.
9. Do referrals count if someone signs up but doesn’t use the app?
No. You will only receive referral points when the referred user signs up and completes their profile.
10. Can I transfer my points to another user?
No. Points are non-transferable and tied to your personal Our Village account.
11. What happens if I submit a testimonial but don’t get points?
Only video testimonials that meet our quality standards and are approved by the Our Village team will be awarded points. You will be notified if your submission is accepted.
12. Will the rewards program ever change?
Possibly. We may update or adjust the program as Our Village grows. Any major changes will be announced via email or in the app.
